Duties & Responsibilities: ARMADA has a requirement for Firearms, Tactics, Driving, and Medical Instructors.

  • Provides instruction for Firearms and Tactics courses utilizing prescribed curriculum.
  • Updates course curriculum as directed by Senior Instructor and/or Management staff.
  • Lead Instructs/Assistant Instructor for all Core Curriculum Courses.
  • Lead Instructor/Assistant Instructor for all Contracted Courses.
  • Teaches customized training courses.
  • Explains and demonstrates use of apparatus and equipment.
  • Evaluates the abilities of individual participants to determine suitable corrective or remedial training.
  • Maintains overall safety and organization of the training environment.
  • Ensures safety of students. Communicates and oversees compliance with company policy, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Ensures accountability for all training equipment
  • Identifies in a timely manner training requirements needed to maintain required certifications and company standards, and completes all required continuing education and refresher training programs.
  • Completes any additional training and/or certifications required by the government or the contract.
  • Other duties as assigned.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):

  • Instructors must have experience in conducting training to include traditional platform training using lecture, demonstrations, and automated audiovisual platforms, such as Microsoft PowerPoint or similar instructional tools.
  • Instructors must have extensive relevant experience leading or assisted in the instruction of students in a majority of the FACT/IPMT subject matter disciplines as a full-time vocation for a period of more than two years. Instructors with no military experience must have at least 5 years of operational law enforcement (e.g. SWAT, special teams), FACT/IPMT training experience, or both.
  • Instructors must have completed instructional delivery training from approved and certified institutions, which may include Department of Defense training organizations; military service schools; or commercial institutions qualified to provide facilitated learning instruction. Instructors must have experience conducting field and off-site training and exercises.
  • In addition to the above required qualifications, the following instructor qualifications are preferred: extensive real-world experience equivalent with Special Operations Forces (SOF), SOF deployments, or advanced Special Forces instruction.
  • Shall be citizens of the United States.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completion.
  • Problem solving skills with an analytical thought process.
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

Minimum Education:

  • High School diploma
